About the Book

I began writing at subway stations in New York and continued midair—

on flights across Perth, Malaysia, Beijing, Taiyuan, Saudi Arabia, and more.
In that vacuum beyond countries and clocks, I found space to write.
It traces my thousand days in New York— a slow shift from survival mode to something more alive.
I write about death, desire, doubt, family, and love—
and about what it means to be a Chinese woman approaching thirty, rebuilding herself between departure and belonging to aisle seats, and window views.
In a world obsessed with progress, this is my note on the freedom not to improve.
It’s written for those suspended in time—and for the version of myself, still midair, before landing.

从纽约的每一个地铁站开始，我跳跃进

飞行的高空、横穿美国的列车、穿越世界的航线。

在没有国界、没有时差、没有地面的“真空时空”里，我写下了这些文字。

这本书记录了我在纽约从第0天到第1000天的经历，如何从生存模式逐渐走向繁荣模式。

我写生死、梦想、爱情、心理、家庭，也写即将30岁的中国女性，

在经济舱与超级经济舱之间，在漂泊与归属之间，

自我解构与再次成为。

在这个每个人都“应该更好”的社会里，我想留下一些文字，关于“不进步的自由”。

写给那些在时间里悬浮的人，

也写给还在落地之前的我。
